12/DAYS OF PRAYER: DAY 7

Father, I come praying Your protection, direction and covering over your children today…those called by your name. Touch the hurting, sick, disenfranchised, lonely and lost with your finger of healing, restoration, renewal and love in Jesus’ name. Father, bless with an extra measure of your grace and mercy as we continue to seek your will for our lives. Lord, we desire to do greater works in your name! Help us be the light and salt in this dark and unsavory world! Purge, renew and strengthen us each day for the work of the ministry and help us walk boldly in the calling you have upon our lives. It’s in Jesus’ mighty matchless name we trust and have hope! Amen

“For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.” (‭‭Matthew‬ ‭7:8‬)

12/DAYS OF PRAYER: DAY 6

Father, I pray that all Christians will remember with humble gratitude what they have been saved FROM; representing our Savior well in interactions with others…avoiding quarreling, responding in gentleness, and showing perfect courtesy toward all people. And in times of crisis, help us to recognize them as tangible reminders of what we really deserve apart from the mercy of God and saving grace of Christ. In the sovereign saving name of Jesus I pray…Amen.

“Remind them to be submissive to rulers and authorities, to be obedient, to be ready for every good work, to speak evil of no one, to avoid quarreling, to be gentle, and to show perfect courtesy toward all people. For we ourselves were once foolish, disobedient, led astray, slaves to various passions and pleasures, passing our days in malice and envy, hated by others and hating one another. But when the goodness and loving kindness of God our Savior appeared, he saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit”. (Titus‬ ‭3:1-6‬)

12/DAYS OF PRAYER: Day 5

Father, I pray that young Christians will be clothed in humility, respecting their elders, themselves and others. I pray that all Christians will put off prideful ways and lift all of their concerns to God in prayer…trusting You, oh Lord, to exalt them at the right time. It’s in the sovereign name of Jesus I pray. Amen

“Likewise, you who are younger, be subject to the elders. Clothe yourselves, all of you, with humility toward one another, for God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble. Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you.” (1 Peter‬ ‭5:5-6‬)

12/DAYS OF PRAYER: DAY 4

Father, Help each of your children be more humble in mind; showing sympathy, unity and love to those encountered each day so that they will be blessed as well as be a blessing, and their prayers will be answered. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.

“Finally, all of you, have unity of mind, sympathy, brotherly love, a tender heart, and a humble mind. Do not repay evil for evil or reviling for reviling, but on the contrary, bless, for to this you were called, that you may obtain a blessing.” ‭‭(1 Peter‬ ‭3:8-9‬)

12/DAYS OF PRAYER: Day 3

Father, Help believers to comprehend the value of humility; realizing that God hears the cry of the humble and delivers them from all of their trouble! Help Christians gain confidence in knowing that God’s presence accompanies and sustains those who are of a contrite and humble spirit. Thank you Father! It’s in Jesus’ name I pray…Amen

“For thus says the One who is high and lifted up, who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy: “I dwell in the high and holy place, and also with him who is of a contrite and lowly spirit, to revive the spirit of the lowly, and to revive the heart of the contrite.” (Isaiah‬ ‭57:15‬)

12/DAYS OF PRAYER:Day 2

Father, I pray that all who have a personal relationship with you will walk in the spirit of humility just as Jesus walked, act justly, love mercy and live each day recognizing that pride leads to destruction and humility breeds honor. Thank you, Father, for leading and guiding your children in the way that is right in your sight and good. It’s in Jesus’ name I pray…Amen.

“He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.”  ‭‭(Micah‬ ‭6:8‬)

12/DAYS OF PRAYER: Day 1

Father, I pray that all Christians will commit to bowing before You in prayer at the beginning of each day in order to receive strength and grace needed to overcome and live holy. In Jesus’ mighty name I pray. Amen

“But he gives us more grace. That is why Scripture says: “God opposes the proud but shows favor to the humble.” Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”  ‭‭(James‬ ‭4:6-7‬)

“WASH ME LORD!”

Father God, we know that we can live a new life free from the bondage of sin because of the death and resurrection of your son, Jesus Christ. He has already fought and won the victory over sin and death for us, and we thank you! We ask you, Father, to be the Lord of our lives—protect us from the evil one, help us not yield to the temptations of this world, and aid us in overcoming the lusts of our flesh. We invite the purifying power of your Holy Spirit to cleanse our lives from all things that dishonor you and every form of unrighteousness. Help us, Lord, to stay blameless and walk in holiness until the day of your great return! This prayer we pray in the saving name of Jesus the Christ. Amen.

“LET FREEDOM RING”

As Christians, what does Christ bring to our lives that enables us to fight and win the war within—to truly become free at last? The Holy Spirit! He is who Jesus promised us in John 14 and Acts 1-2, and is the centerpiece of Paul’s discussion in Romans 8. Therefore, we will never find this “freedom” we long for apart from God and the work of the Holy Spirit in our lives. This is Paul’s message in the book of Romans to the people then and to us today—he who God sets free through Christ is free indeed! Without the help of the Holy Spirit, sin would continue to rule and reign in our mortal body and have the upper hand in our life. The Holy Spirit is indeed our “secret weapon” to winning the fight within and the war on sin! As we allow the Holy Spirit to lead, guide, direct and instruct us in living a “God-fed” and “God-led” life this brings freedom. For the believer, this is truly the gift of independence! ~Excerpt: “From Duty To Delight: Are You Enjoying Jesus Yet?” by Mary A. Ford

“Therefore there is now no condemnation [no guilty verdict, no punishment] for those who are in Christ Jesus [who believe in Him as personal Lord and Savior].” ‭‭(ROMANS‬ ‭8:1‬)

A PRAYER FOR WISDOM

Father, I pray that God will give Pastor’s wisdom as they call their congregations to prayer and lead them to an understanding of the times. I pray that those called by your name will seek hard after the truth of your word so that they may be spiritually mature and not blown away by every wind of doctrine; being able to withstand the wiles of the devil and become beacons of light in a dark and dying world. Amen

“And he gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ, until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to mature manhood, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ, so that we may no longer be children, tossed to and fro by the waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by human cunning, by craftiness in deceitful schemes.” (Ephesians 4:11-14)
